Could I just buy a computer and hook it up to a tv?

I’m am thinking about buying a new tv and computer but I don’t want to have to pay for the monitor if I can just hook it up to the tv. It is possible to buy a tv that is compatible for running your computer on it isn’t it?

Yea its possible many televisions are compatible but theres some that are not but you could buy some cables that could hook up ur computer with your television.

That depends if you have a newer computer it might have an HDMI output in which case you could hook it up to your HDTV. If you have an older computer is might have a s-video cable which you can hook up to most TVs which. But you have to check…

Yes, many flat panel wide screen LCD or Plasma TVs can be connected directly to your computer.

If your computer is fairly new (good enough to pay DVD movies), then your computer may have a DVI output in addition to the standard PC output (DB9 connector)
Many now are color coded. If you have a "blue" connector on the back of the PC and a matching one on a newer flat screen, then yes, you can probably do that.
if you don’t have a DVI out from your video card on your comptuer, they are relatively cheap to add.
Whatever the case, if both the TV/Monitor and comptuer are fairly new, then YES, you can find a combination to make it all work.
