I am not sure if watching tv apps work on mac but maybe you should visit the softwares sites and find out. Here are 5 good watch tv apps reviewed.

PC TV or watching TV online over the internet (IPTV) means that you can watch the TV channels, shows and sports that you want when and where you want. The disadvantage is that it can be difficult to set up and find the online TV streams that you want to watch and that you may not be able to easily watch tv abroad.
There are a number of ways to watch tv channels online via the internet. Be wary of the advertisements for pc tv software to download – as these are often a con and the same or often better results can be achieved from going direct to the satellite TV or cable TV providers websites.
Whilst there are websites that aggregate and list many of the TV stations streams it is still not a great viewing experience as you have to jump from site to site to change channels.
TV streaming (IPTV) services such as Habu which allows you to watch US TV online and TV Catchup for watching British TV online are great services and you can watch and change channels relatively easily. However they are not usually live TV. Also, it is important to note that if you want to use these services in other countries (i.e. other than UK or US as appropriate) then you would have to use a proxy in order to make the service think that you where actually in their country. Not only will this mean you will have to pay for a proxy service (free proxies don’t work well for streaming TV due to the high bandwidth required) and if you have a good one it shouldn’t degrade the level of service too much but you may have to manually change proxies frequently if they block you. Being blocked is likely as it is illegal for such services to allow access from other countries due to their content and broadcasting licenses therefore is against the terms and conditions of these services.
For an experience that is the same as watching normal TV i.e you can easily control and change channel Or if you want to watch internet TV on multiple devices such as your PC, TV, or Mobile. Then you could opt for a slingbox from SlingMedia. A slingbox is a settop box that you connect to your TV and to the internet which will enable the TV to be streamed and accessed online. i.e You connect a Slingbox to your satellite TV or cable TV box. Then the slingbox streams the live tv over the internet so you access it on your PC, other TV’s or Mobile Phone. This has the additional advantage of enabling you to legally watch the Television that you stream from your slingbox in your home when you are overseas/ abroad.
But what if you don’t have the possibility to have a slingbox at home. Perhaps you live overseas and want to access TV from another country or just don’t want the hassle of setting up the box. There are also hosted slingbox services such as MyTV2me that will provide you with a TV subscription and a hosted slingbox. This removes the setup and management issues and you will be able to legally Watch TV Online Overseas. Once subscribed, all you have to do is download the provided software to your PC, to watch and control your TV from your hosted slingbox on your PC. You can then connect your PC to your TV so that you can watch the online stream on your Television or Projector. It really is very simple.
